Celebs who've ditched alcohol as Michelle Heaton celebrates one year of sobriety

Michelle Heaton has recently reached one year of sobriety in an impressive milestone after vowing to overcome her alcohol addiction 12 months ago.The 42 year old tackled her battle with drinking after falling to what she called her “lowest point” last year as she was left her feeling suicidal due to her alcohol dependency.

After entering rehab, Michelle has since admitted that the therapy “saved [her] life” as she told Closer magazine: “I’d given up on my life and I didn’t care about losing my family or friends, it was only about where the next drink was coming from.

Rehab saved my life – after my medical examination there, they told me I’d have been dead within days if I hadn’t got help." The former popstar joins several other celebrities who have stopped drinking.
