GEORDIE Shore star Marty McKenna has unsurprisingly riled up some Celebs Go Dating viewers. The 27-year-old reality TV star has made his debut on the E4 dating show, alongside fellow Newcastle native Nikita Jasmine.
However, his very strong entrance - which saw him proudly state his streak of infidelity and tendency to call women "birds" and "pigs"- hasn't gone down well.
Only a few minutes into the episode, the self-proclaimed "shagging expert" was called out by dating expert Anna Williamson. In his first meeting with Anna and other expert Paul C Bronson, Marty said: "I'm at the stage now where I'm still in a slaggy rut. "I'm gonna be honest with you, I'm not gonna come here and go on a first date with a bird and say 'd'ya wanna be me bird?'".
American Paul then asked Marty what 'bird' meant, to which he replied: "A girl, yeah it's what we call girls in Newcastle." After some probing from the love experts, Marty explained he didn't think it was an offensive term: "I've never had any complaints until you complained" and put the phrase into context. "If we're in a club and me pal says 'ah look at that bird over there would you shag her?', I'd be like 'nah she's a pig'" said the star.
