Caroline Flack’s mother has revealed how the star was ‘frightened’ of her mental health battle becoming public knowledge. The Love Island presenter tragically died by suicide in February at the age of 40.
Her mother Christine spoke with Norwich school student Max Merron, who is on a mission to normalise youngsters talking about mental health and their feelings.
Touching on her own heartbreaking experience, Christine explained of Caroline: ‘We tried to talk to her. But I think when someone is in that place, what we say isn’t being heard.‘You say, you’ve got this fabulous career and this nice home but actually that doesn’t matter because that’s not how they’re feeling.’ Christine added that Caroline was ‘frightened’ that the public would.
