Oscar-nominated actress Carmen Sevilla has died aged 89. Spanish media outlet El Nacional released a statement on Sunday to reveal that Carmen had passed away after a long battle with Alzheimer's.
She was believed to have been with her beloved son Augusto Algueró when she passed away at a residential home on Friday. The much-loved actress passed just five days before she would have celebrated her 90th birthday.
Back in 2012, it was announced that the talented star was in a "very advanced" stage of Alzheimer's disease. The Oscar-nominated actress, who once starred alongside Charlton Heston, was born in Seville, Spain, in 1930.
