New York Post.Neighbouring island St Lucia and Trinidad and Tobago have offered to help the authorities in St Vincent and the Grenadines if assistance is needed.
The country’s National Emergency Management Organisation (NEMO) said on Twitter that: "Evacuation by land and sea continues in preparation for an explosive eruption of La Soufriere Volcano."Earlier the head of NEMO had told residents to "be ready, get your things in order."Safe areas where people will be evacuated to are from North Union to Kingstown, on the Windward side of the island, Barouallie to Kingstown on the Leeward side and the Grenadine Islands.There are reports of gridlocked traffic as locals try to escape the danger area on the island.According to the Guardian on.
