Trains between Manchester and Stalybridge are being cancelled this morning after the 'theft of signalling cables'. According to National Rail, all train lines are currently blocked between Manchester Piccadilly and Hadfield/Stalybridge.

Trains will be cancelled, revised or diverted via Manchester Victoria until at least 12pm. The cancellations are due to the theft of signalling between Gorton and Fairfield, transport bosses said.

On Northern services, people travelling towards Rose Hill Marple should board a Manchester Piccadilly to Hadfield service and depart at Guide Bridge, to connect with rail replacement transport calling at all stations to Rose Hill Marple.
