Rowan Thompson, who used the pronoun 'they', was found dead at the Gardener Unit at the mental health hospital on October 3 last year.

The 18-year-old had been due to stand trial later that month for the murder of their mum, Joanna Thompson, 50. They had denied murder, but previously pleaded guilty to the mother-of-two's manslaughter.
