Caitlyn Jenner

Caitlyn Marie Jenner (born William Bruce Jenner; October 28, 1949) is an American television personality and retired Olympic gold medal–winning decathlete.

Jenner played college football for the Graceland Yellowjackets before incurring a knee injury that required surgery. Convinced by Olympic decathlete Jack Parker's coach, L. D. Weldon, to try the decathlon, Jenner won the men's decathlon event at the 1976 Summer Olympics in Montreal, setting a third successive world record and gaining fame as "an all-American hero".

Given the unofficial title of "world's greatest athlete", Jenner established a career in television, film, writing, auto racing, business, and as a Playgirl cover model.

Caitlyn Jenner says she was scared she'd be stuck as Bruce forever after her Olympic victory. The Keeping Up With The Kardashians star feared that she'd become so famous after winning gold in the Men's Decathlon at the 1976 Olympic Games as Bruce that she'd never be able to transition.

The 71-year-old lived with gender dysphoria from a young age and wrote in her autobiography The Secrets Of My Life about how she'd often steal moments to dress in women's clothes and walk around hotel lobbies or go out driving as the person she desperately wanted to be.

And she's confessed that the day after her Olympic victory, she worried that she'd be stuck in the wrong body forever. Caitlyn told Dear Media’s podcast The Skinny Confidential Him & Her:
