Irish business woman Jackie Lavin has been ordered by a judge to pay €25,000 worth of damages to the driver of a van her car collided with in December 2015.

Judge Sarah Berkeley heard in the Circuit Civil Court Friday how Ms Lavin ‘swore and used abusive language’ towards Dean Graham, the driver of the van involved in the crash.

Mr Graham, who was awarded the damages for personal injuries suffered in the collision, told the court his six-year-old daughter, Alannah, a front-seat passenger in the van, had been exposed to Jackie’s abuse and swearing.

Barrister Tracy Ennis Faherty, for the Grahams, told the judge that Alannah had injured her right knee after being thrown forward by the impact of the crash.
