A bungling burglar was busted after the security camera he stole took a picture of his face. Christopher Doy, 45, reached through a cat flap and grabbed a key to let himself into a house as the victim slept upstairs.
He then helped himself to a handbag, purse, electrical items and keys to a Renault Clio in what police described as "a despicable act".
Doy then continued his criminal activities by using the victim's bank card at a petrol station. But by that point he had already given the game away - by staring straight into the home's security camera as he reached up to steal it.
The camera took clear image of his face, which police later used to identify him. Doy fled in the stolen car after ransacking the house in Mansfield,
