Bumbling fugitive forgets he's on the run and flags down police before promptly being arrested

clueless driver has been arrested after asking police to help with his car breakdown after he forgot that cops were after him.The forgetful man ran out of petrol and was stuck in the middle of the road.Reviewing his limited options, he decided his best bet was to ask West Midlands Police officers who were passing by for help with his car.After asking the police for assistance, the eagle-eyed officers had carried out their routine checks and quickly realised that the man they were dealing with had an allegation of his own, as well as him driving an untaxed vehicle.Officers then arrested the driver in question for not having his car taxed and had also found he was wanted man for suspicion of making threats to kill.After the incident occurred, the police officers had then taken the man into police custody where they carried on their investigation.Police then seized the car and had turned to social media, where they had made a funny and witty jibe about the man and the incident.Under the SmithswoodWMP Twitter handle, the tweet read: "When you forget you're wanted and flag down Police to help with your broken down car…" followed by a round of applause emoji.Their next line said: "Ran out of fuel, ran out of time and also… you've ran out of tax!" followed by the hashtag "Whoops".Their final line read: "One male arrested for threats to kill and vehicle seized." with the hashtag result and the eyes emoji.The witty tweet received 12 retweets, five quote tweets and 51 likes.It no doubt had officers in the police cafeteria chuckling.The tweet posted on The Smithswood, Kingshurst & Castle Bromwich Police Twitter account on January 20th and was accompanied by a picture of a police van behind a Volkswagen Golf.For more of the latest.
