The brother of the Manchester Arena suicide bomber is feared to have been preparing a second attack, police revealed last night.

Hashem Abedi faces dying behind bars after being found guilty on Tuesday  of murdering 22 people at an Ariana Grande concert on May 22, 2017.

Detectives says they continue to probe whether the jihadi brothers had help from a wider UK terror network. Hashem Abedi was not present at the Old Bailey on Tuesday when the unanimous verdicts were returned.

Victims’ relatives could be heard sobbing in court as the jury foreman repeated the word “guilty” 22 times. The six-week trial had heard how Abedi had played a vital role in helping to build the bomb which his older sibling detonated at the concert.
