Thousands of Brits have brought their trips to France forward as a travel ban on UK holidaymakers is set to come into force from 11pm tonight.
People have been urged to avoid London St Pancras unless they already have a pre-booked ticket and a negative Covid test as Cross-Channel rail operator Eurostar sees tickets sell out.
The new restrictions were announced on Thursday, resulting in a surge in demand for the firm’s train services. Ferry operators and airlines have also seen a clamour for tickets as passengers try to beat the restrictions.
