NBA star Ben Gordon has been arrested after allegedly hitting his son and putting him in hospital, according to reports. The British ex-basketball ace was reportedly detained while preparing to board a flight to Chicago at LaGuardia airport, New York on Monday.
According to the New York Daily News, the 39-year-old had struck his 10-year-old son and the child needed to be taken to hospital as a result, where he was treated for his injuries.
Gordon, who is from London, is reportedly set to be charged with resisting arrest and other charges are expected to be filed by authorities.
According to law enforcement sources, two Port Authority police officers were also left with minor injuries.
