Britain’s Got Talent looks “almost certain” to be scrapped for this year, until the hit series can be made safely which may mean the telly talent show will be unlikely to air on ITV until spring 2022.
Producers at Simon Cowell’s postponed variety show had hoped to be able to hold auditions over the summer and air in the autumn, ahead of live finals.
Now programme makers and producers at Thames TV and Cowell’s company Syco, have admitted they can not guarantee the hit series can be made safely in a few months’ time, reports The Mirror.
ITV bosses are currently drawing up schedules for the remainder of the year which no longer include BGT, the second most popular series on the channel after I’m a Celebrity, which pulls in up to 10million.
