BRIDGERTON star Regé-Jean Page has been backed by his co-star Adjoa Andoh for the coveted James Bond role following rumours he could be the next 007.

The actor, who set pulses racing as the Duke of Hastings, has been widely touted as a successor to Daniel Craig in the secret agent series.

Regé's name came up as Adjoa, who stars in the ground-breaking Netflix period drama alongside him, chatted to Good Morning Britain hosts Ben Shephard and Kate Garraway.

When asked by Ben what her thoughts were on Regé taking on the role of Bond, Adjoa said: "The thing with Regé is that he's beautiful - don't tell him I said that! - he's beautiful, he's very smart.
