Harry Maguire. The Manchester United centre half has become the whipping boy of England fans and his old Leicester boss says he struggles to understand it.

Rodgers had just taken over at The Foxes when Maguire's £80m move to Old Trafford started to gain momentum. But he’s convinced that the big defender has more than enough to cope with everything that comes his way.

Rodgers prepares his side for Saturday’s trip to United with nothing but praise for Maguire. Rodgers said: “What help does it do to boo a player - that’s what I would say.“By the very nature of the word supporter, should mean that you are there to support the players.

I find that disappointing. Harry is a brilliant guy and a very good player. I know he has the tools to overcome that. Internationally he has been a very good player for England over the past four or five seasons.
