A man arrested on suspicion of terrorism offences in connection with the Manchester Arena bombing has been released on bail, police said tonight.
The 24-year-old from Fallowfield was arrested at Manchester Airport on Friday following a flight into the UK and was detained on suspicion of engaging in the preparation of acts of terrorism/assisting others in acts of preparation under section 5 of the Terrorism Act (2006).
Today Greater Manchester Police confirmed he had been released on bail 'pending further enquiries'. "The arrest was in relation to the terror attack which took place at the Manchester Arena on the night of 22 May 2017, and took the lives of 22 innocent people," said GMP.
