T2 Trainspotting star Bradley Welsh recovered a shotgun which may date back to the 19th century, a trial heard. The court heard how the Belgian-made weapon was recovered by cops last year from a garden shed in Lanarkshire.Giving evidence on Thursday, ballistics expert Martin Connolly said the shotgun could’ve been made as long ago as 1890.He added the old-fashioned gun was fired by pulling back the hammer with the thumb before pulling the trigger.
Sean Orman, 30, is on trial at the High Court in Edinburgh where he denies gunning down Welsh on his doorstep in Chester Street in the city’s New Town.
He claims he was on a cycle ride from the city to Kirknewton, West Lothian, at the time the boxing gym boss was shot on April 17 2019.
