Dancing on Ice judge Christopher Dean left a number of viewers rather confused during Sunday night's final (March 27), as he seemed to insinuate that actor Dick Van Dyke had passed away.The judge was certainly blown away after Regan Gascoigne performed to the song Step In Time which was originally danced by Dick in the iconic musical Mary Poppins.When Christopher gave his feedback on Regan's show-stopping routine, he told him how proud Dick "would have been" of his interpretation.Chris said: You were magic out there, just fantastic.

BBC chiefs are facing a ‘‘glitterball vs football’’ row over Strictly.The TV dance show could be taken off air this year due to a scheduling clash with the World Cup.Viewers are already raging because ITV’s Dancing On Ice final was axed last Sunday to make way for an FA Cup match and instead the climax to the skating show had to air last night.Now the BBC is set to face the wrath of fans over Strictly’s 2022 series hosted by Tess Daly and Claudia Winkleman.The World Cup usually takes place in the summer but since it is being staged in Qatar - where temperatures could reach 45 degrees centigrade - it has been moved to the cooler months of November and December.Matches - including England ones - will kick off at 6pm or 7pm.Any games that fall on a Saturday or Sunday will clash with Strictly’s main and results shows.BBC bigwigs face a dilemma about what to do with their flagship series - which attracts more than 10 million viewers - and how to move episodes around in the schedules to keep fans happy.A source claimed the station was aware of the potential clash when the World Cup starts on November 21.But they added: “BBC bosses are confident there will be plenty of room for footballs and glitterballs this autumn.
