BRADLEY Walsh perficks his David Jason impression as he starts filming The Darling Buds of May remake. The TV favourite, 60, who hosts quiz show The Chase, plays Pop Larkin, originally portrayed by Sir David.

The series, famous for his “perfick” catchphrase, ran from 1991 to 1993. Bridgerton’s Sabrina Bartlett, 29, will play Mariette — the role that propelled Catherine Zeta-Jones to stardom.

For the remake, the channel promises to capture “the warmth, optimism and escapism of the Larkin family for a modern generation”.
