The front of two homes came crashing down on Thursday morning after a huge sinkhole opened up in the middle of Walmer StreetHouses either side were also left badly-damaged.The dramatic scenes began to unfold after a car was 'swallowed' by the hole on Wednesday evening (January 20).Later that night, four households were evacuated after emergency services realised they had suffered serious structural damage.
