Bumbling Boris Johnson asked children if they were looking forward to taking their exams during a school visit - despite most exams being cancelled due to the Covid-19 pandemic.
Ofqual confirmed today that GCSE and A-Level exams for this year had been cancelled, and would be replaced by grades decided by teachers.
But Mr Johnson was caught on camera making small talk with pupils at Accrington Academy in Lancashire on Thursday morning. He asked: "Are you looking forward to doing exams?" The pupils laughed in response.
