On March 5, Eddie Huang's film BOOGIE will be released. The movie follows Alfred “Boogie” Chin (played by newcomer Taylor Takahashi) who chases his dreams of a basketball scholarship while dealing with school, love, and his rival Monk, played by the late rapper Pop Smoke.

The film's first full-length trailer is out today and contains clips of Pop's performance. Watch above via Pitchfork. Pop Smoke was shot and killed in February 2020, after filming his performance in Boogie. "He gave me a thousand percent," Huang said of the late rapper to The New York Times. "They were tough 16-hour days, overnights, and he shot five overnights in a row.
