Buoyed by the pop crossover success of the singles "Love Story" and "You Belong with Me", it became the US' best-selling album of 2009 and was certified diamond in the US. The album won four Grammy Awards, and Swift became the youngest Album of the Year winner.

Bomb squad technicians rushed to A&E after a patient was admitted with a mortar shell stuck in his bottom. Troops from 11th Explosive Ordnance Disposal Regiment rushed to the Gloucestershire Royal Hospital after being notified by police 'that a patient had presented with a munition in his rectum'.

The man was said to be a military enthusiast who found the shell while clearing out, but somehow 'tripped' and fell onto the 57mm piece of army ordnance, Gloucestershire Live reports.
