Cook, who was appointed Paul Lambert's successor in March, has overseen a difficult start to the new campaign having one just once and currently preside in 20th.
Ipswich, along with Bolton Wanderers, are one of a number of clubs in League One who have played Premier League football this century, with Portsmouth, Charlton Athletic, Sunderland, Sheffield Wednesday and Wigan Athletic also in that category.
