The 29-year-old free agent had been a summer target for the Wanderers manager following his departure from Hillsborough over the summer, but did not initially come to fruition.
However, following the injury picked up by winger Xavier Amaechi, Wanderers have returned to the transfer market to bring in reinforcements at the top end of the pitch.
