The 25-year-old defender joined the Whites last summer initially on a one-year deal with the option of a second. However, after Bolton won promotion to the third tier of English football following a top three finish in League Two, Wanderers boss Ian Evatt spoke to Jones about his future.
And rather than merely just exercising the option for the extra year in Jones' deal, he has now agreed a fresh contract which will keep him at the University of Bolton Stadium until the summer of 2023.
