The Trotters secured victory over Frankie McAvoy's side thanks to Gethin Jones' strike in the second half. It means Bolton remain undefeated in pre-season so far, and are next in action this Saturday on the road against League Two side Barrow, but the win was marred after winger Xavier Amaechi was taken off injured after 20 minutes.
He later emerged wearing a protective boot and on crutches, with early suggestions being an injury to his metatarsal. After the win, Bolton boss Ian Evatt spoke to the press and here's his initial reaction
