Bloke, 22, killed by angry mob after claims he raped 100-year-old woman

suspected him of molesting a 100-year-old woman, according to reports.Pius Mwireri bled to death after sustaining serious injuries from the angry mob in Karundori village in Runyenjes, Embu County, Kenya, police said.The suspect, a university student, reportedly stormed the woman’s compound and began raping her as she slept.READ MORE: Plastic surgeon 'kept patient captive for two months after botched tummy tuck'She raised the alarm and members of the public ran to her aid."The angry members of the responded by grabbing the suspect and subjected [him] to mob justice," reported Kenya Music.The incident was filed to the police by two locals who raced to the scene, the site also stated.Embu East Police Commander Emmanuel Okanda urged people on Tuesday, July 19, not to take the law into their own hands.He also said investigations are underway into the incident and added that the body of the deceased was taken to Kyeni hospital mortuary and is awaiting a postmortem examination.The grandmother was reportedly rushed to the same facility for a check up after the incident.
