Perth and Kinross Council of ignoring what they claim is an air pollution hazard near a children’s play area caused by work being carried out on the Westpark development at Ardblair, near Blairgowrie.
Those in the vicinity of the Perthshire development say that an industrial diesel generator is situated just 25 metres from the children’s play area by Ardblair Terrace and behind the new shopping centre development.Work started on the controversial project earlier this year and worried locals first contacted the local authority to raise concerns about the generator and the fumes it was emitting in early July.As well as affecting air quality in the play area, residents say that the air pollution is entering people’s homes, exacerbating health.
