The Illuminations will also be extended until January as part of the first three schemes expected to receive funding from the resort’s £39.5m Town Deal.
Council leaders have been organising business cases for seven schemes which set to receive a share of the funding, since the deal was announced in October last year.
Along with the £13.2m upgrade of the Illuminations, which includes £4.5m, from the Town Deal, there are two other initial submissions which cover plans for a Youth Hub receiving £500,000 from Town Deal, and a further £7.5m going towards infrastructure at the Blackpool Enterprise Zone, LancsLive
