A bin man was "crushed to death" by his own truck in the grounds of an elite girls boarding school. The worker was killed on the grounds of Benenden School, just outside of Cranbrook, Kent, while doing his rounds on Wednesday (November 25).
Staff rushed to help the man, who has not been identified, after he reportedly became stuck between a wall and the lorry. Paramedics and police were called shortly before 8.30am, but the man was pronounced dead at the scene.
It's understood the lorry had suddenly rolled back without warning, reports Kent Live. The Health and Safety Executive has now launched an investigation into the tragedy.
