After 18 years off air, and many, many calls for its return... the Big Breakfast is coming back. Channel 4 announced the return of the anarchic show – which launched the careers of Chris Evans and Gaby Roslin, Johnny Vaughan and Denise Van Outen – for a one-off special next year, almost 30 years since it first aired.
Comedian Mo Gilligan will host as part of C4’s “black takeover day”, with the format reimagined through an “unashamedly Black British lens”.
