The outline application to demolish an industrial building in East Philip Street, on the edge of the River Irwell, to make way for new flats has been rejected.
The site, which is currently used as storage space by applicant North and South Groundworks, is located behind Paradise Works, an art gallery and exhibition space, and opposite the Bridgewater Community Garden.
