We were like, ‘Whoahhhh!’ But luckily those aren’t live. So we have the edit.‘"We really consider carefully what’s going to be shown and what’s not going to be shown."Asked if he had witnessed a "Will Smith moment" when someone has been slapped for making an inappropriate joke like at the Oscars, he said: "We haven’t had that yet."Meanwhile, Cowell is confident other talent shows will not steal BGT’s TV crown.
His show has been off air since 2020 and in that time, The Masked Singer, I Can See Your Voice and Starstruck have taken over.
Asked about that, Cowell said: "I’m slightly out of touch but I do know the shows you are referring to. "How does it compare to some of those other shows?
