01 Mar 2021 The 78th Golden Globe Awards took place on February 28th. The ceremony itself was markedly different to usual in light of the Covid-19 pandemic, and for the first time in history, the nominations were fully digital.
The 2020 ceremony narrowly missed the beginnings of our new socially distanced time, and this year's was the first without its busy red carpet, though that's not to say it wasn't present.
While actresses Tina Fey and Amy Poehler hosted from separate locations on opposite coats, the nominees were in various locations around the world, tuning in via video call from their sitting rooms.
