While broadcasting from home during the coronavirus pandemic, BBC weatherman Owain Wyn Evans signed off his forecast with a cheery tip for viewers to “stay safe” — then raced off-camera to a nearby drum set, where he banged out percussion for his show’s theme song as it closed the broadcast.
The 36-year-old Welsh presenter, a self-described “unapologetically flamboyant” weatherman, rocked out on the skins and cymbals while still rocking his camera-ready three-piece suit, tie, pocket square and a glittery brooch.
A video of his broadcast beats — posted to Twitter early Wednesday — topped 2.5 million views, more than 24,600 retweets and 104,600.
