Dan Walker was left red-faced after being rejected by Carol Kirkwood live on-air.The star was presenting the show alongside co-host Sally Nugent on Wednesday (April 27) when he boldly asked if the weather presenter fancied going on a date to the snooker.It came after he had almost bored his wife to sleep on the same romantic getaway.Things all kicked off when Dan was keenly discussing the ongoing World Snooker Championships at the Crucible in Sheffield with sports correspondent John Watson, explaining that the event - in his home town of Sheffield - brings in the crowds.He gushed: "I love it when the snooker’s in Sheffield, because as a resident there’s a nice little buzz about the place."Lots of people come and visit every year, and you can see there’s a bit more activity in the park and stuff like that, a bit more buzz around the town centre.
