BBC Breakfast's Sally Nugent said she 'couldn't carry on with the show' after she was overwhelmed by an emotional report. Sally, 51, covered a range of topics on Tuesday's BBC Breakfast alongside co-host Jon Kay.
But she was visibly moved after a video was shown about Guide Dog charity volunteers who help train the assistance dogs from puppies.
The report highlighted how there is a shortage of volunteers, leading to the charity launching a big recruitment drive to try and boost numbers.
The demand for guide dogs is high and at the moment, blind people are facing waits of up to two years to receive an assistance dog.
