It came as Bianca Walkden was beaten in a nail-biting Taekwondo face-off by South Korean competitor Lee Da-bin. Fronting the BBC's coverage of the Olympics on Tuesday, TV host Dan was joined by hockey star Sam Quek and Taekwondo star Lutalo Muhammad.
Ahead of discussions about Bianca's tragic defeat, he exposed gold-medal winner Lutalo, 30, for walking out of the studio over the loss.
Devastated watching her defeat, the sporting star threw his arms in the air and angrily walked away from his seat as the cameras followed him. "Oh, dear me," Dan could be heard saying to the cameras as they watched the loss on a TV.
