BBC Breakfast's Jon Kay welcomed two journalists on air on Wednesday morning - but things soon took a turn. Both Anna Isaacs from the Independent and Sebastian Payne from the Financial Times joined the host to talk about how busy their jobs have been since the first two resignations on Tuesday (July 5).

She responded: "Well, there'll be tax cun-- cuts to mitigate the fact that we've had tax rises, so that was the problem with the narrative yesterday." While she continued talking to Jon Kay and glossed over the awkward stumble, viewers were too quick and immediately caught the blunder.

Taking to Twitter, one user wrote: "I think someone just said "Tax C***s on BBC Breakfast."Users replied to the tweet with one person writing: "I believe I heard the same.

Is this a new fiscal policy?" While another added: "She did indeed! And she's not wrong [smiling face]." Another said: "Lady on BBC Breakfast just said tax c***s instead of tax cuts.
