They faced a battle to be afforded the chance this term when some quarters posed the argument that the Lowland League champions and Highland League winners Brora Rangers had only played 13 and three games respectively thanks to the pandemic, and as such hadn't earned a crack at promotion.Their fears were compounded when Brechin chairman Ken Ferguson stepped down from the league board just days before a crucial decision on the matter.
