Late soap legend Barbara Windsor has had a pub named after her. The ex-EastEnders actress tragically died aged 83 in December after a long battle with Alzheimer's, and now her name will live on forever.
Residents at Camelot House and Lodge in Taunton, Somerset, voted to call their new pub The Windsor Arms, after Dame Babs. Richard Dempslake, activities coordinator for the home, said to Daily Star : "Our residents loved Barbara as the bubbly star of Carry On films and the outspoken EastEnders lady at The Queen Vic. "And were really enthusiastic about memorialising her in this way." The care home provides specialist care for those who are living with dementia, so it made sense for the residents to call it after the outspoken EastEnders
