The details for the funeral of Queen Elizabeth II have been revealed as the nation prepares for a final farewell.The UK will say goodbye to the monarch, who has reigned for 70 years, on Monday with proceedings to start at 8am as the doors of Westminster Abbey will open. Those attending the event will be representatives from the home nations and heads of state from overseas including American President Joe Biden who has previously confirmed that he will be attending.

Prince Harry and Prince William spent the evening together alongside their wives Meghan Markle and Kate Middleton, as well as other members of the Royal Family.The group are said to have sat down for dinner together after the Queen’s highly emotional return to her home of 70 years, Buckingham Palace. Prince Harry was seen with his father King Charles III as the late monarch’s coffin was driven through the archway of the palace following it’s journey over from Edinburgh, Scotland.

The Princess Royal cannot act in the King’s place if he is ill or overseas, despite the fact that her younger brother the Duke of York , and his eldest daughter Princess Beatrice can. The only people who are able to act in the King’s place are the Queen Consort, the new Prince of Wales, the Dukes of Sussex and York, and Princess Beatrice. Other than the Queen Consort, these individuals all have the role of Counsellor of State, which is a title that is automatically bestowed upon the four royals next in the line of succession who are older than 21.

In the days since the Queen’s sad death last week, King Charles III and Camilla, Queen Consort have spent much of their time completing royal engagements in the public eye. However, having visited the four home nations and having guided the royals through their united display of grief, the couple have now returned to their homes for some private time away from the spotlight.

One week on since the sad death of Queen Elizabeth II, King Charles III has been busy adjusting to his new life as Head of State. As part of his new role, the 73 year old has spent recent days leading the royals in paying tributes to the late Queen and has put aside his personal grief to visit, and address, the four corners of the nation. But in addition to these public acts of reflection, King Charles will have been making some more personal considerations, including where he shall reside as His Majesty.

A week has gone by since the terrible news of our Queen’s passing broke, and it still doesn’t feel quite real. Queen Elizabeth II was special to so many of us for different reasons, but, for me, I’ll always remember her for being refreshingly bold with her fashion and beauty choices.

It’s only been a week since Prince William took on his new title of the Duke or Cornwall following the Queen’s death, and the royal has already taken charge of the role. Prince William, 40, became the 25th Duke of Cornwall, a title previously given to his father the former Prince Charles, after the Queen died on Thursday 8 September.

The Palace has released a schedule for Monday (September 19), when the funeral for Queen Elizabeth II will take place.

The Princess Royal is visiting Scotland today, accompanied by her husband Sir Tim Laurence. She is touring the Glasgow City Chambers, one of the city's most celebrated works of architecture, and meet with representatives of organisations of which the late Queen was a patron. Anne was accompanied by her husband Sir Tim Laurence, was pictured chatting to crowds outside before reading messages left on bouquets.  This comes after Anne, 72, has taken a front-and-centre position during the preparations for her mother's funeral, appearing alongside her brothers and nephews during the coffin's procession from Buckingham Palace to Westminster Hall yesterday.

Mike Tindall was seen wearing military style medals at Wednesday's Lying-in-State procession for the late Queen Elizabeth II. Despite not serving in any department of the military, Mike was keen to display his love for the Royal Family and pay tribute to the Queen by wearing his honours.

Prince William and his wife Kate, the Princess of Wales stepped out together on Thursday as they visited the Sandringham Estate in Norfolk to view the countless floral tributes that have been left for the Queen since her death last week. Since her sad passing, thousands of floral tributes have been left by members of then public at royal palaces all over the country, often with sweet messages and drawings – and in some cases even a few marmalade sandwiches in a nod to her heartwarming Platinum Jubilee performance alongside Paddington bear.

Following the tragic death of Queen Elizabeth II, King Charles has not only been navigating the personal grief of losing his beloved mother, but he has also been busy transitioning into his new role as monarch. After immediately becoming King Charles upon his mother’s passing, the 73 year old has undertaken several unique traditions including a tour of the four home nations and a procession of the late Queen’s coffin. And another unique obstacle that Charles now faces as King is the matter of where he will be based as head of the British monarchy.

Archie and Lilibet are not expected to take on the titles of prince and princess, an expert has claimed. Political editor Samantha Maiden has said King Charles has decided not to address Prince Harry and Meghan's children by royal titles which suggests they will not be named prince or princess.

The royal family gathered to show their respect for the late Queen Elizabeth II at a service at Westminster Hall to commence the lying in state, which precedes the Queen's state funeral on 19 September. Before departing from the service, the Duchess of Sussex was seen taking a deep curtsy before her grandmother-in-law’s coffin. Traditionally, women in the royal family curtsy if they're seeing the monarch for the first time that day, while men usually greet the monarch with a head bow.

It’s been an emotional week for the royal family, following the death of Queen Elizabeth II last Thursday. And it seems that as the Queen’s coffin arrived at Westminster Hall yesterday afternoon, it all got a bit much for Lady Gabriella Windsor, who appeared to faint shortly after Her Majesty’s arrival.There appeared to be a rather small commotion where members of the royal family stood, watching the coffin be brought inside. Lady Gabriella's husband, Thomas Kingston , could be seen aiding someone, as her mother, Princess Michael of Kent appeared to look towards her daughter with some concern, as did her brother and sister-in-law Lord Frederick Windsor and Sophie Winkleman.
