Baby killed in freak accident horror as cement truck fell from bridge onto family car

Our units responded to a major crash at the intersection of WoodForest & E Sam Houston Pkwy [Parkway]. "It appears a cement truck traveling on the main lanes lost control, went over the overpass and landed on top of a vehicle with four occupants."Reports from local stations indicate that Nicolas and twin sister Melanie were set to have a joint baptism on Saturday.Nicolas' mother Jennifer said she will tell young Melanie that her brother loved her "and that he will always be with us".The aunt of the twins, Esmerelda Resendiz, said: "I guess we’re all just sad that he got taken away so early and that his sister won’t be able to see him no more or have a play buddy."A witness to the freak accident, Raymond Romo, said that the cement truck had to swerve to avoid another car before crashing through the overpass, where it then collided with the SUV.

The truck was then dangling from the overpass before falling forward and landing on top of the SUV, with Romo managing to grab one car seat out of the vehicle, but not the other.
