East Ayrshire support worker has been reprimanded by the industry watchdog after a drink-driving conviction. Care at home worker Shanice Cairney was more than twice the legal drink-drive limit when she was stopped on Craigens Road, Cumnock.But she was not struck off by the industry regulator, the Scottish Social Services Council, (SSSC), who instead placed a 12-month warning on her registration.A hearing took place into Cairney's behaviour by the SSSC's fitness to practise committee who outlined the background to the case against her.In their report, they told how the offence took place in September 2018 and that Cairney was discovered to have 46 microgrammes of alcohol in 100 millilitres of breath.
