Ayrshire nursing home have been told to make improvements to patient care after being widely criticised in a Care Inspectorate report.

Belhaven House, in Troon’s Craigend Road, has been given a deadline of September 24 to come up to scratch in some aspects of the care they provide.

Ayrshire Live can reveal that the home was issued with an improvement notice on August 30 and was graded ‘weak’ across nine quality indicators.

It followed a recent unannounced inspection.‘Weak’ is the second lowest grading a care home can receive from the scrutiny body, the lowest being ‘unsatisfactory.’ In another body blow, the home was recently issued with a letter of serious concern by the Care Inspectorate after officers claimed in their report the.
