Taylor Alison Swift is an American singer-songwriter. She is known for narrative songs about her personal life, which have received widespread media coverage. At age 14, Swift became the youngest artist signed by the Sony/ATV Music publishing house and, at 15, she signed her first record deal.

Her 2006 eponymous debut album was the longest-charting album of the 2000s in the US. Its third single, "Our Song", made her the youngest person to single-handedly write and perform a number-one song on the Billboard Hot Country Songs chart. Swift's second album, Fearless, was released in 2008.

Buoyed by the pop crossover success of the singles "Love Story" and "You Belong with Me", it became the US' best-selling album of 2009 and was certified diamond in the US. The album won four Grammy Awards, and Swift became the youngest Album of the Year winner.

Ayrshire butchers win top award for their traditional black pudding

A Kilmarnock butchers has said that making award winning black pudding isn't too dissimilar to crafting a great whisky. David Faulds & Son lifted the regional title for their take on the Scottish delicacy in the Scottish Craft Butchers Awards 2022.Owner Ian Faulds can now lay claim to having the best black pudding in the South West of Scotland.A delighted Ian said the accolade is a real boost to the family business, based on John Finnie Street.Ian said: "Faulds have been making traditional products since Victorian times when my great-grandfather founded the business in the 1890s."The recipes have been refined a bit over the years but the basic ingredients remain the same."Ian modestly suggested that making black pudding isn't difficult in itself — the art of producing a champion being in how you tweak it."It's like whisky," he said. "Making whisky is easy — making a great whisky takes something special."Our black pudding is pretty traditional and it seems to go down well with the customers," said Ian. "Luckily, it's gone down well with the awards judges as well."Ian said the accolade was a great boost to his four-strong team and a real lift after working flat out over Christmas and New Year."We've always felt we punch above our weight for a small family business," he added, "and this regional title shows that we can take on the big boys and come out on top.

We're all really delighted."Scottish Craft Butchers president Tom Courts said the standard displayed in the Scotweigh-sponsored competition typified the quality produced by craft butchers in every part of the country."It's great to see butchers vying for the accolades again after Covid," said Tom, "and we're seeing the very best of the best take this year's awards."I
