Ayr bus passengers hit out as Stagecoach fail to reinstate vital service levels after Covid

Ayr say their journeys to and from town are now being limited.It follows a reduction to the timetable on the popular Number 1 service which, pre-Covid, was served twice an hour.Regular traveller Margaret Agnew told Ayrshire Live: "All the other buses are going back to normal services but our timetable is still cut."We used to have two buses an hour up here which was perfect for getting into town."The argument from Stagecoach to us is that the buses are no longer paying for themselves."But they've obviously been quieter lately and things are thankfully starting to return to normal now."A lot of us have free bus passes paid for by the government and we're entitled to that travel – it's not just a money-making exercise for.
